Defiant is a Horde guild on the Maiev(PvP) server. We've been a guild for roughly a year now, created by our good friend Julian. Defiant was able to progress quite nicely through TBC with many server firsts, but like all great things in life we had a few members decide to part ways with us and we have worked hard over the past few months to keep things rolling. I am proud to say that I am still a member of this guild and I can't see myself being in any other guild on World of Warcraft. I have been lucky enough to take over the position of GM and will continue to push for pro, efficient raiding and we will continue to be the bastard guild that nobody else on the server likes.

We enjoy things such as fucking your mother, impregnating your sister, unloading weeks of pent up nerd-fluids all over your slut of a girlfriend's face, and most importantly we do eat Babies.

We are currently recruiting exceptional, smart, and eager players who are willing to pull their weight through current progression.

We are rebuilding this guild as we lost quite a few people to school and the economy. Shit happens and nothing is easy, except your sister maybe. So if you want to help out and rebuild this guild so you can raid casual and still get shit done, apply. Yes, we are a casual raiding guild who will attempt hardmodes when we have the team to do so. We still have plenty of brain power here so we just need some more quality players and we can get shit done.

Of course we haven't lowered our standards. You still need to know the mechanics of your class & spec(s) as well as be able to perform the fights CORRECTLY. You still need to maximize your toon and come prepared to raids with the necessary consumables.

If you are a selfish lil bitch who is more concerned with what the guild can do for you instead of what you can do for the guild, move the fuck on please. Your presence is not desired here. We are looking for people who understand what it takes to keep a raiding team progressing for the long term.

We have a swarm of initiates right now but still hoping for a death knight tank who has hiiiiigh play time. Our standards are very high at the moment (and so is Crondo). We are only looking for very skilled and dedicated players.

The legendary Bunny King strikes again! After a week of stress and deciding whether to continue on with the game I'm glad to say that the officers, members, and my personal friends in Defiant kept the spirit of the guild alive while a few of us took a mini-break and downed quite a few bosses this week. I love you all of you in Defiant, exept the Canadians... fuck you guys for life.

Recruitment in Ulduar

To all potential applicants-
You may have seen on the side bar that we do not have any classes/specs listed for our recruitment needs. I assure you, Defiant is still recruiting! We are only accepting the most outstanding, knowledgeable players at this time. If you feel you meet our expectations, then please feel free to apply.

Please be patient as we take time to review applications. It may take days for the application committee to even respond, since we are quite busy clearing new content on a daily basis, and we want to take time to thoroughly review every application that is posted.

Each application must be submitted with the "Apply to Guild" option on the forums. Copy/pasting your application will get it instantly vetoed. Leaving out answers or info asked will also get you vetoed. You must read the stickied post before submitting your application. The more in depth your answers are, the better your chances of getting a trial are.

Edit: I have been getting a lot of tells over the last few days about our recruitment from applicants and potential applicants so I need to set a few things straight.
Defiant is not hurting for any particular class. We could actually close off recruitment right now and be just fine. However, that would be rather silly of us because we know that there are high quality players out there that would make great additions to this guild as we pursue more difficult content.
Just because someone applies, does not get them a trial. If someone is selected for a trial, then an officer or someone in the app committee will post something on the application for the world to see, and also attempt to contact you in game.
That being said, getting people into trials is not a priority for Defiant. Progression is. We'll get to you when we get to you. For the love of Christ, stop sending members tells in the middle of our raid times asking how to apply and when you can get a trial.

This week, I received some very disturbing news. It appears that Defiant is breaking up. Just like we supposedly do every week. And that all of our members are going to Twisted, because that's what everyone says we're doing.

Now, I'm not positive.. but I'm pretty sure that Defiant is not breaking up this week. Or next week. Maybe the week after. I doubt it. Twisted is a guild made up of some very good friends of Defiant people. Yes, some of our alts are in that guild. No, those particular 4 or 5 people who raid with their alts are not there for the sole purpose of gearing out those toons.

I must say, sartharion 3-drake 10man has got to be the toughest fight I've done thus far in WoW. With all of the random dumb shit that can happen it is definatly one of those fights where you have to wait for "the" attempt to happen. After hours of fighting this boss, I'm proud to say we finally saw "the moons align" and the wow gods blessed us with a kill on this bitch.



Congrats to Melisaria, Naglfar(Grendle), Surph, Grizlybear, Philo, Dotanrun, Jai, Seenie, Totalcarnage, and Alopexia on downing this encounter, it was well worth it.

Also, grats to Totalcarnage on the mount.

After hours of Dragon Slaying, the crew grew hungry so natrually we decided to stop off at our favorite Subway restraunt and pick us up a sub n ZJ. Thanks Subway! 5$ Footlongs for life.
